Supporting & Nurturing Sustainable Growth
-
I have been described by colleagues as a champion for the holistic well-being of my clients. I am an Operations Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran, serving as a Healthcare Specialist/Combat Medic and Medical Section Sergeant. In addition to personal experience and passion, I have further developed expertise in the treatment of trauma of First Responders and Veterans as a Certified Psychological First Aid Provider by the National Center for Traumatic Stress.
I work with a wide range of conditions with individuals 18 years of age and older.
I am the Mom of a very active teenager, my favorite and most challenging role. I enjoy all things outdoors, spending time with family and friends, watching scary movies, anything Scooby-Doo and/or gnomes, and coffee. After reading this, it will likely make sense that friends describe me as quirky and weird which has taken time and work to fully embrace. Now, I own it and I am proud of my uniqueness. Life is too short to hide who we are!

I view my clients as experts, placing myself in a learning role, encouraging the client to guide the therapy in a true co-working environment. My approach to working with clients is an eclectic mix of many evidence-based interventions driven by a holistic "person-in-environment" frame of view. I provide support and services that align with a true behavioral health approach, addressing client’s physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing. I believe in the powerful connection between all of the parts of ourselves, others, and the world around us. When we work to identify the different aspects of our lives, acknowledge the unique importance and role of each, and move toward balance, we are better able to live our best lives, a life in sync.
